Bermudian artist Shanna Hollis joins The Daily Hour to discuss Complementary, her first collaborative exhibition with her brother, fellow artist Nahshon Hollis, at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.
Despite growing up in the same household, the siblings have developed distinctly different artistic styles. Complementary brings those perspectives together while exploring shared themes including Bermudian identity, community, resilience, the environment, and the Bermudian experience. Shanna’s work also examines the layers behind the familiar “Bermuda Smile”, while continuing her People’s Collection celebrating Bermudian people and experiences.
