Actress Wendy Dill joins The Daily Hour to discuss WITCH, the upcoming production at the Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society (BMDS).
The play follows a charming devil who arrives in the village of Edmonton offering residents their darkest wishes in exchange for their souls. Elizabeth, already marginalized by her community and labelled a “witch,” would appear to be an easy target. Instead, she forces both the devil and the audience to confront much bigger questions about desperation, hope, morality and what we’re willing to sacrifice when we can’t see a better future.
Wendy will discuss her role in the production, the relevance of WITCH to the world we live in today, and themes including stigma, navigating systems that weren’t created for everyone, and what truly defines who we are.
